Eligible participants who complete this program will have apprenticeship hours recognized. Communities may customize this course to focus on building a needed structure in-community. Structures offered are: Greenhouses, Shelters, and Cabins.

Paid carpentry apprenticeships are available at Tea Creek in 2023!

Program Length: 4-6 weeks on-site intensive

Program Outline: The following topics will be covered in this training:

• Site safety

• Cordless tool use and safety

• Air tool use and safety

• Ladder safety

• ATV safety

• WHMIS online

• Understanding dimensional lumber and wood building materials

• Understanding fasteners and proper use

• Greenhouse construction or Cabin construction or Barns and shelter construction focus
