Jacob Beaton is an award-winning Indigenous entrepreneur and leader with previous business successes under his belt. Jacob holds the traditional name Dzap’l Gye’a̱win Skiik, meaning a busy eagle, or an eagle who gets things done.

Together with their sons Noah and Ezra this amazing family is the heart
of Tea Creek.
Our origin story
The Beaton family got their start growing food with a back yard garden thanks to their eldest son Noah who had developed an interest in gardening. In 2018 the Beaton’s bought a
farm in search of more space and a different life-style. This is their story as told by Jessica Ouellette-Beaton, co-owner of Tea Creek.

Food Hero 2022
Tea Creek has also been acknowledged by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations as a Food Hero in Canada!
The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations leading international efforts to defeat hunger. FAO’s goal is to achieve food and security for all and make sure that people have regular access to enough high-quality food and lead active, healthy lives.
