Knowledge Sharing Sparked my Interest
I had zero experience with farm development when Jacob and Jessica hired me. Their positive attitudes/energy and wanting to share their knowledge really sparked my interest in wanting to learn.
I showed up expecting a day of grass cutting which lead to a summer of learning how to use a tractor, prep for gardens, various ways of watering, pumping water, various attachments for the tractor such as the large mower, hay baler and rototiller.
I'd hoped to return after winter but then the pandemic hit but I will be taking my family there again afterwards.

Amazing employer! Jacob is a trusting and confident employer with much knowledge in many areas.
I lived a fair distance away and had no vehicle at the time so he provided transportation whenever I needed it.
I worked with Jacob for a few years doing various jobs and learned great skills that I still employ myself today. He researches everything he does thoroughly and is great at explaining things in a way that is easy to understand. He is a recognized and reliable upstanding Community member and professional Indigenous businessman. Jacob and his family are simply among some of the most amazing people I know.
I would recommend Jacob Beaton as an employer to anybody and I am excited to see the amazing things the Tea Creek Farm is going to achieve in the near future.
